hi, i’m maddy!
I’m an illustrator and designer based in Providence, RI and Buffalo, NY. I recently graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design.
I like illustration that feels atmospheric and design that feels analogue, and I have a particular passion for visual essays, posters, and modular design. My work also reflects a long-standing love of history and research; I’m currently deep in the mud on a project looking at early 20th century Yiddish graphic design.
I’m pursuing art conservation and have experience in handling art, writing labels, framing and unframing works on paper, talking with museum visitors about art, and basic chemistry. Working with others’ art inspires my illustration, and my illustration skills influence my confidence in talking about and handling art.
When I’m not drawing or framing, you can find me making pickles, canoeing, or roller skating (badly).
